Wenting Wang OD
Dr. Wang joined McKinney Eyeworks in 2016. Her education started at The University of Texas at Austin where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology. She completed her Doctor of Optometry degree at Rosenberg School of Optometry at The University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas. She is a licensed and board-certified therapeutic optometrist and optometric glaucoma specialist. She is a member of the American Optometric Association and the American Academy of Optometry. Dr. Wang is committed to providing quality eye care including comprehensive eye exams, fitting of contact lenses, LASIK co-management, diagnosis and treatment of ocular diseases using state of the art technology. Dr Wang was born in Hunan, China and moved to Dallas, Texas in 2001. She is also fluent in Mandarin Chinese. During her free time, Dr. Wang enjoys traveling, cooking, and playing ping pong with her family.
Melissa Mcclain
Melissa Mcclain, our Office Manager, has been with McKinney Eyeworks since 2000. She works side by side with Dr. Woerz and Dr. Wang to make sure that our office runs efficiently; she is knowledgeable in all aspects of the office. She can help you make an appointment, do preliminary testing, and help you with your eyewear needs. She also works with insurance billing and explanation of benefits. With her vast experience, she can help to answer any question or concerns that you may have. Melissa lives in Farmersville with her husband Tony and 3 children. Jacob, her oldest son is attending University Of North Texas pursuing a degree in Engineering. Justin enjoys playing and designing video games. Jenna has been dancing since she was 3 involved in ballet, tap, jazz, and tumbling. In Melissa’s spare time she enjoys traveling and spending time with her extended family. On the weekends you will find her working in the yard or working on craft projects.
Aaron Baker
Our Lead Optician, Aaron Baker, has immersed himself in everything optical since 1998, and has been a part of the McKinney Eyeworks team since January of 2013. He is an adept framestylist, utilizing basic rules about facial structure as well as knowledge of current trends, styles, and color to assist you in choosing your next set of eyewear. Keeping up-to-date on the latest lens technologies will guarantee Aaron can select exactly the right lens for you from among the abundant options available from Zeiss, Essilor, and Hoya/Seiko. With our state-of-the-art Briot edger, Aaron can craft new eyewear the day of your exam in many cases. Although he calls himself an “Old-Schooler” when it comes to eyewear, Aaron is well-versed in all the current industry news and available technologies. Opticianry is his life, and he knows how important your new eyewear is to you.
